Inland Taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus)

Interactions

The Inland Taipan has no known enemies except for humans.  However, the snakes to human encounters are slim to none because the Inland Taipan lives in areas where there are few humans.  The Australian outback is a very desolate place and few humans inhabit it.  In fact, the only recorded bites have been from four herpetologists that were carless with the snake.  Fortunately there have been no reported incidents of death because those who were bitten sought immediate medical attention and administered the anti-venom.  Some of the critters that this organism lives with are the red plains kangaroo, rats, wild mice, lizards, and some birds.  Overall, the Inland Taipan lives in an environment that is very hostile and only a select few were able to adapt to it.

Some other organisms that relate to mine from MultipleOrganisms are:

The Red Kangaroo

The Cottonmouth

The King Cobra
