Cashew-Anacardium occidentale

About Me!

Me!

Hey everyone! First of all, I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU  to everyone whose work helped me with this web page! This is to everyone who was generous enough to let me use their photos, especially Beto Frota who was a great help and also provided stories about what the Cashew means to Northeastern Brazilians.

My name is Liesl and I am currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. I’m originally from good old Mukwonago, WI. As you may have guessed, I am a Biomedical major, as well as minoring in both Chemistry and German.  My plan as of now is to attend Optometry School after undergrad, but who knows?

This webpage is the direct product of an assignment for my Organismal Biology class. Although I can’t say that I was completely ecstatic about completing this assignment, I can say that I have definitely learned a lot…and not just about cashews! Speaking of cashews, I bet you want to know why I chose them to research. Well, folks, I wish I had a more interesting story for you- I simply chose them because they are delicious!

Although I’d like to call myself an expert…we all know that I obviously am not. So I would love to hear your input! If there are any errors found, questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to hit me up with an email!

I can be contacted at amon.lies@students.uwlax.edu, and my classmates’ projects can be found at multipleorganisms.net.

Thanks for your time and enjoy!
