My name is Erica Olson and I am a student at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I am working towards earning my Bachelors degree majoring in biology (with a bio-medical concentration) with a minor in chemistry. I hope then to continue on to dental school at a currently undecided location.
Outside of school I am a daisy Girl Scout leader, remembering the days when I myself was a Girl Scout earning my silver award. I also enjoy playing piano and giving lessons to my younger siblings. I love the summer and winter seasons, which enable me to go swimming, boating, wakeboarding, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing, all activities I love to do.
I choose to write my web page on the cucumber because of the ability to make it into a pickle. At Christmas time, my family participates in an old German family tradition of hiding the pickle(ornament) on the tree(it’s harder to find than you may think)! On Christmas eve, our family decorates our Christmas tree, and after the children have gone to bed, our parents would hide the pickle on the tree. The next morning the first child who found the pickle got to open the first present.
