About Me
Hello! My name is Benjamin Hetzer, and I am currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. I am in the process of switching my major from Biochemistry to Information Systems. I hope to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and work immediately after college. I grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and am the middle child with an older brother an older sister and three younger sisters. Outside the classroom, I am an avid runner and ran track for seven years until I was forced to take a year off due to a severe hamstring tear. I also enjoy playing football, and volleyball. I am an Eagle Scout and enjoy hiking, camping, and high adventure. I’m always up for having a good time.
This website was created as an assignment for my Organismal Biology class. I decided to choose Myristica fragrans as my organism because I worked in a bakery for six years at an apple orchard. This sparked my interest in baking, in which a lot of the recipes used nutmeg. Nutmeg always seemed somewhat of an enigma, and I wanted to learn more about it. I learned a lot from this assignment, and I hope you enjoyed it as well. If you have any questions or feedback regarding this website, feel free to email me at hetzer.benj@uwlax.edu and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you so much for visiting my website!!
