In La Crosse Wisconsin it is illegal to "Worry the squirrels"

Eastern grey squirrels are known to go after the psychedelic fungi Amanita muscaria, which is highly toxic to other animals, without bad effects. To learn more about this fungus visit Tom Volk's Fungi Page

This species can swim up to two miles in calm water. They swim with their tails and rumps above the water (like the doggie paddle). The tail is uses as a rudder to guide the squirrel in the direction it wants to go.
