You've probably eaten many varieties of rice before, but what do you know about wild rice? Did you know that it's Minnesota's state grain? Wild rice or Zizania aquatica has made some neat adaptations to its environment and holds great historical importance not only to the Native American tribes of the Great Lakes region, but tribes around the country.
