Hello, my name is Thomas Ruzzeir and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. I began my college career at Southern Illinois University and I transferred here after my freshman year. Since I have arrived here, I have studied to be a oral surgeon, majoring in microbiology and minoring in business. I was born in Park Ridge Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and eventually moved to prairie crossing. Prairie crossing is an environmental community, and after our 5th grade class took samples from our lake, I knew that I wanted to pursue biology.
After
watching the document this summer during shark week, I was becoming more
and more interested in Megalodon, until I began this class, which took
up much of my free time with studying for upcoming exams and lab
practicals. When we had to choose our species, my partner suggested
Megalodon and I thought that it was the perfect fit. I did the Home
page, Habitat and Reproduction and we both contributed to the
interesting
facts, Interactions and Hunting, and the gallery.

Hello, my name is Laura Nelson I am a sophmore and like Thomas I am
also a transfer student into the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I
started my college career at a private school in downtown Honolulu,
Hawaii Pacific University studying in Pre-Chiropractic. After
transferring to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse I have changed my
major to Biomedical Studies with a minor in Chemistry, still working
towards being a Chiropractor.
I became interested in Megalodon last summer when the Discovery Channel did a segment on the species, and when searching for a species, Thomas was just as excited as I was that no one had done this particular shark yet. It has been a lot of fun researching and learning more about this magnificent animal! Thomas was an absolute joy to work with! I worked on the Classification, Adaptions and we both contributed to the Gallery, Interactions and Hunting, and Facts.
