Website created by:
Nick Brehmer & Dan Traverzo

Professors:
Dr. Greg Sandland & Dr. Meredith Thomsen

This website was created for our Organismal Biology class, in order to be an educational website on a cave dwelling organism. It was designed as a writing activity to help us work with primary research articles, and give us real life applications of what we learn in class. It is part of a larger database called MultipleOganisms.net, which is a awesome website, and you should check it out and see all the cool projects done by previous students! If you have any questions, comments, complaints or concerns (or compliments) please feel free to email us.

Hey there! My name is Daniel Traverzo and I am a sophomore at UW-La Crosse.  I am a biology major and a physics minor.  On campus, I am part of the swim team and am also the academic coordinator of Drake Hall.  I also am the secretary for the Triathlon Club and a Vanguard for our campus.  After my undergrad, I plan on going to grad school for biomechanical engineering.

My favorite classes are science classes, especially physics classes in particular.  During my free time I like to work out and hang with my friends.  My favorite sports to do are triathlons and ping pong, but I will really play anything.  This summer, I am racing my first Ironman which will be a big accomplishment for me.  I am from DeForest, WI but I really enjoy the La Crosse area and campus.  I try to get involved with as much as I can to get the best experience I can here.  I had a lot of fun making this website and I learned a lot about crayfish along the way.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time!

Hi! I'm Nick Brehmer and I am a freshman here at UW-La Crosse. I am majoring in biology and minoring in nutrition. I am a member of the swim team here at UWL. After I graduate I hope to go to grad school for micro-biology. This summer I have an internship with Hormel Foods, in the micr-biology lab. Next summer I will likely return and work in their chemistry lab.

I really enjoy science classes, especially biology. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends and spending time outside (which is difficult because this is Wisconsin and it is freezing 7 months of the year.) I love soccer, basketball, tennis, and really anything active. I'm originally from Austin MN, but love it here in La Crosse. I am not a technologically savvy person so this website was difficult for me, but I really enjoyed it and learning about this crayfish was really fun. Please feel free to contact me with anything!
