Facts

From the first week of April to about the fourth week of September, this small terrestrial snail carries with it a yellow-translucent shell with a low, flattened spiral ("Guppya sterkii", 2007). The shell itself measures 1.2 - 1.3 mm in diameter with 3.5 - 4 whorls ("Guppya sterkii", 2007).

The whorls are marked with minute, longitudinal smooth spiral striations that do not contain dense axial threads often seen on snails of the same genus (Grimm, et al., 2009).

The shell also has a flattened base without a central cavity present ("Guppya sterkii", 2007).
