Jeffrey Nekola (2009), in his report "Conservation Prioritization of the Ontario and Quebec Land Snail Faunas", states that Vertigo arthuri has three synonyms as follows:

Vertigo arthuri form arthuri, originally recognized by von Martens in 1884
     Common Name: Callused Vertigo

Vertigo arthuri form hubrichti originally recognized by Pilsbry in 1934
     Common Name: Hubricht’s Vertigo

Vertigo arthuri form paradoxa originally recognized by Sterki in 1900
     Common Name: Mystery Vertigo

In Nekola and Coles 2010, Hottop et al 2011, and Nekola et al. 2009 morphological and molecular evidence is presented that Vertigo hubrichti, and Vertigo paradoxa are synonymous with Vertigo arthuri.
