Adaptation

The lack of information available on the species Stagnicola woodruffi  requires more focus to be put on the characteristics of its Family- Lymnaeidae.

In Lymnaeidae, a slime gland in front of the foot secretes mucus through which the snail glides by muscle contractions of the foot. Like other families within this order, Lymnaeidaes have a single pair of sensory tentacles on their head with an eye on the base of each tentacle (EOL.org).
