Animalia

Mesodon sanus is found within the kingdom Animalia.  All species are multicellular and are heterotrophic, meaning they get energy from other sources (Encyclopedia of Life, 2012).  Another characteristic of organisms found in this kingdom, is that they do not have cell walls (Encyclopedia of Life, 2012).  Animalia is an incredibly diverse kingdom and Mesodon sanus is just one of the millions of different species.
