Habitat

Panorpa sigmoides are found in the upper Midwest of the United States.  Their habitat ranges from Ohio westward to the unglaciated area of northeastern Iowa and eastern Minnesota.  These insects are mostly found in cool, moist areas of low, broad-leafed vegetation in deciduous forests (Gordh and Headrick 2001).
