Animalia

Also known as Metazoa, all animals are classified in the Kingdom Animalia (Encyclopedia of Life, 2012).  All species are multicellular, like Fumonelix jonesiana, and heterotrophic (Encyclopedia of Life, 2012).  Specifically, this snail is herbivorous, relying on plant material for sustenance (Dourson, 2006). Most animals also have tissues, which are regions of cells designed for a specific function (Encyclopedia of Life, 2012).
