The above picture is of Allogona townsendiana, which has similar reproductive behaviors as Daedalochila triodontoides as mentioned on the Reproduction page. This picture displays the mouth of the snail very well, and in Daedalochila triodontoides, there are three teeth on the lip, which is how it got its specific species name.
1.) How long a snail lives is greatly influenced by their habitat and what their specific species is (Snail-world.com). The life span of snail can range from 5 years all the way up through 25 years (Snail-world.com). However, researchers are starting to believe that life spans of snails are decreasing because of humans destroying their habitat through pollution (Snail-world.com).
2.) In 1976, the
largest land snail was discovered and

Normally, adult snails are only a few centimeters long and weigh only a
