surfaces from a hatched egg of a land snail is nearly transparent in

was roughly 160 polygyridae species identified just within the Eastern
United States(Coles and Walsh, 2002).
· They also accounted
for 30% of all land mollusks within the same Eastern region of the
United States(Coles and Walsh, 2002).
· The mucus excreted
by snails is not only used for lubrication to glide along, but also as
an adhesive to hold them to their surfaces during movement (carnegiemnh.org).
· When a snail crawls
across your skin, the feeling has been described to be similar to
sensation of a cat’s tongue(carnegiemnh.org).
