Brandon Rentmeester:
As a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse majoring in
Biology, I am only just beginning to scratch the surface of the
vast biological knowledge my undergraduate education has in
store for me. I look forward to fulfilling my biology
major here at La Crosse, then hopefully moving on to dental
school. Science has always been an interest of mine since
my youthful days of observing bugs in the woods behind our
house, or catching fish in our backyard pond.
The pages "Nutrition" and "Habitat" were my research focal points
for this project, as Clay and I collaborated to learn about the
orangethroat darter, Ethiostoma spectabile, which was
a new species for both of us!

Clayton St. Sauver:
I am a Junior at UW-La Crosse and I majoring in Biology. I
recently switched majors from Psychology to Biology, so it has been
a great thrill to be able to have hands on experience with the
scientific process. After graduating from high school, I moved to
the Twin Cities and attended a community college where I wasn't
exposed to many science classes. And if I was exposed to any
scientific discipline it was merely in the form of lecture. Since attending UW-La Crosse, each of my science classes has had some sort
of hands-on-experience either through a lab requirement in the
course or a field research day outside.
For this website, I did research for the "Adaptation" page
and the "Reproduction" page.
