American Black Bear (448 lbs) that had
been harvested in Minong, WI, September
2003. This was my first bear hunt (I
did not harvest this particular bear). |

I am a Biology major with a concentration in
Environmental Science, expected to graduate
Spring 2015. I hope to utilize my
Bachelors degree, along with my Associates
degree in Criminal Justice, to find my niche in
Western Wisconsin and assist other researchers
with the conservation of wildlife.
With the expansion of previously extirpated
organisms, not just Black Bears, I predict that
there will be an increase in research
opportunities, of which I intend to take full
advantage. I have a passion for mammals,
particularly carnivores, and it would be a
tremendous pleasure to join a project involved
in restoring previous populations.
This website was a semester long project for Organismal
Biology (Bio 203) and an excellent stepping
stone for gaining experience. Catching
inspiration early in the semester, I created
this site from scratch rather than using a
template and completed the following pages: Home
page, Classification, Interactions, Life History
& Reproduction, and Interesting Facts.

I am currently studying as a Biology major at
the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and am
also going for
Pre-Nursing. After graduating with a Biology
Bachelor's degree from La Crosse, I plan to
attend the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and
participate in the Nursing program in order to
become a Nurse Practitioner. I am originally
from the Northeastern portion of Wisconsin and
plan to get a job in that area once I become a
certified nurse. |
