Interesting Facts

Here are some interesting facts that I learned about the northern leopard frog while doing my research:  

- The female frog can lie between 645 and 7,648 eggs per egg cluster, which are around the size of a grapefruit!  

- Normally, in most frogs, the female is larger than the male; this is also true for the northern leopard frog.  

- The female Rana pipiens develops reproductively after 2-3 years, and the males mature after 1-2 years.
