Chicken of the Woods
About Me
My name is
Brittani Woods, and I am currently an undergraduate student at the
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I
am majoring in Biology, with an emphasis on Biomedical Sciences, and
earning a minor in Chemistry. I plan to go to Medical
school once I earn my undergraduate degree. Studying to earn
these degrees takes up a lot of time, so I keep myself going by drinking
lots of
coffee, a college students' drink of choice. Outside of school
and studying I enjoy taking long runs outside, and being with my friends
and family from back home in Verona, WI.
I created this website for an organismal biology class I took at UW-
La Crosse, taught by
Dr. Greg Sandland.
I hope it provides you with useful and interesting information about the
Laetiporus sulphureus
organism. I chose to do research on
Chicken of the Woods because I had never heard of it prior to selecting
it from a list of organisms I could research. Also, my last name
is Woods, so I thought it would be fitting to research something that
has my very own last name in it!
If you would like to learn more about other interesting organisms, visit
the webpages made by my classmates at
