They are a great source of fiber, Vitamin C and Vitamin A.  In a medium sized papaya (304g) there is 5g of fiber, 300% of your daily value of Vitamin C and 63% of your daily value of Vitamin A and has about 119 calories. It is also a great source of anti oxidants such as beta-carotene.  Carica papaya is also high in natural sugars which provides a great boost of energy.
