About Me!

My name is Christina Olbrantz and I am currently a Freshman at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. My major is biochemistry and I intend to pursue a career in the medical field. I have a busy lifestyle composed of family, friends, school, work, being active, and of course taking some "me time" every once in a while.

This webpage was created for my organismal biology class, along with being part of a larger scale project, which can be found at multipleorganisms.net. This year the organisms chosen by students were classified as being medicinal organisms. I chose the fungus Rhizopus stolonifer because it has some relevance to my age group because it is regularly used in birth control pills. Fungi in general, is very interesting to me and I hope you enjoyed learning about one specific type of fungi that you can come in contact with on a daily basis.

Thank you for your time!
