Dermatobia hominis

About Me

My name is John Steiner and I created this project for my Organismal Biology class in Fall of 2012. At the time of writing this I am a Junior at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse majoring in Biomedical Science with a minor in Chemistry. My overall goal with my studies is to become a doctor.

I grew up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin but currently live in La Crosse, Wisconsin. While not in the library with my nose in my books I enjoy being outside and active. My favorite activities include football, hockey, snowboarding and other general tomfoolery with my friends.

I chose Dermatobia hominis as my organism because I felt that it fit under the theme of spooky well.
What is more spooky than a fly that can parasitize you with its larva without actually coming in contact with you? I hope you enjoyed reading my website as I did in creating it!
