About

The purpose of this website outside of its visual appeal is a research-driven writing project. Creating a scientifically accurate webpage makes us familiar with both the structure of scientific journal articles (primary literature) and proper citation. However, while completing this "assignment," it seemed much more about satisfying scientific curiosity.

This project was completed during the Fall of 2013 for Organismal Biology at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. The work distribution is as follows: Matthew Eidenschink completed the home, classification, adaption, interaction and interesting sections of this webpage. Alesia Baldwin completed the habitat and reproduction pages. Proofreading was a mutual task on every page as well as the gathering of resources in the references section. Web editing, updating, pictures and publishing was completed by Matt.

Hello, I am a biomedical science major from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Along with Academics, I am a year-round collegiate athlete in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. Competing at the national level is the focus of every season and the same can be said for school. My main focus for the future is becoming a podiatrist. I chose the red fox as the topic of this website because it was my favorite animal as a child. Watching The Fox and the Hound was almost a dedication when I was young. I have thoroughly enjoyed creating this webpage and I hope that many people benefit from its content. It has been more of a passion driven hobby then an assignment. In fact, most of the work on the website was done during the 10 hour bus ride to and from cross country nationals on Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 where we placed 3rd as a team.

Alesia Baldwin

Hello! My name is Alesia Baldwin. I am a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. I have just recently declared my Biology major and I couldn’t be more excited about it! I have not yet decided which route I want to take, but I am in the process of finding a destination. Before college, I was heavily into martial arts. For eight years, I dedicated all my time and effort into learning this uncommon sport until the tearing of my ACL during the summer right before starting college. This last summer, I had surgery and plan to test for my third- degree black belt during this upcoming summer. I had a lot of fun doing this website research, mostly because I had known nothing of the Red Fox. I actually found out that they were a lot cooler than I thought!
