About Me:
My name is Chelsea Gibson and I am currently a junior at UW- La Crosse majoring in Biochemistry and Cellular Molecular Biology. I am planning on going to Medical school after undergraduate school or going right into a research company and going back to grad school later. I made this website for an assignment in my Organismal Biology class.
When I received the assignment I called my father and asked him to pick his favorite bacteria, and Rickettsia rickettsii was his favorite, so that became my organism. We love to go climbing and be outdoors. You always have to be careful when you are outside not to get infected by insects or ticks. Rickettsia rickettsii is one of the many diseases you have to watch out for when you are out in the woods.
