About Me

A little information about me.  My name is Mark Junge and I am currently a sophomore at UW-La Crosse.  I am planning on majoring in Biology.  After graduation I have an inspiration to go on and teach high school biology or chemistry.  I have always been intrigued with the outdoors and wildlife and come from a family of outdoorsman.  My Dad has been the biggest influence on my life showing me how to do just about everything I know.  He was the one that taught me how to shoot a gun, field dress a deer, and tie my own fishing knot.  A large part of what I am today goes out to what he has taught me and is still teaching me.  We have been hunting and fishing together since I have been old enough to walk.  Largemouth bass have been a wonderful learning experience and has taught me a lot about fishing in general.  Largemouth bass have such a wide distribution you can go just about anywhere in the United States and find someone that enjoys fishing for largemouth bass.  Fishing has been such a big part of my life and I strongly encourage everybody that has not tried fishing or have dreams of fishing to go out and try catching largemouth bass.  The joy of waking up early and watching the fish jump out of the water and experiencing the fight with the fish is a experience all by itself.  I hope to see you out on the water!  For more information on how to get started, getting a fishing license, or where to fish visit the Wisconsin DNR website.
