- You may think that the bacteria that cause Malaria or the nasty Flesh Eating Bacteria are deadly, but a single gram of toxin from C. botulinum is a lethal dose for 200,000 mice.

- This means that a cup of the toxin in its pure form would be enough to depopulate the entire earth, making it potentially the most dangerous organism on the planet!

- The disease Tetanus is caused by a close relative of C. botulinum, Clostridium tetanai.
