FOOD FOOD FOOD!! The Toco toucan uses its long bill to obtain and break open its food. With a swift upper flick of its head, this bird flips its food to the back of its throat. It eats mainly fleshy, juicy fruits such as bananas and guavas and berries. Occasionally they will eat lizards and eggs of other birds. The Milwaukee Public Museum suggests that these beautiful creatures eat insects, frogs, and young birds. It is known that the Toco toucan will offer food to companions. |
