What does it eat?

The European turtle dove is an omnivore, but it mainly feeds on seeds, berries, cereals, and grasses.  Some of its favorite types of seeds it likes to eat are mustard seeds, goosefoot seeds, fumitory seeds, sunflower seeds, alfalfa seeds, and wheat.  It also will occasionally eat earthworms, some insects, and small snails.  It typically will find all of its food on the ground, and will hardly eat the food directly from the trees where it lives.
