About the Author
My name is Heather Siewert and I attend UW-La Crosse with a major in Biology with a Biomedical emphasis and a minor in Chemistry. In short I am a pre-med major. This is both an exciting and challenging major which led me to taking the class Organismal Biology. This webpage is an assignment for this class. We are working to have a webpage for every organism on the planet and I am contributing one more. I chose the olive tree because currently olive oil has been shown to have health benefits. After researching for this product I have also realized how important this organism has been to ancient history and to present culinary needs. This was a rewarding experience and I am glad to have contributed to the bigger project of Multipleorganisms.net. I hope you enjoy!
