Interactions
Emus are solitary animals besides the chicks who will stay with their father for months. Emus can live in flocks or a pair, but that is only because all emus gather where the food is. Emus don't interact with one another.
Humans use the emu's meat, oil, and skin. The emu's skin is used for leather. The oil is used to heal painful joints, muscle aches, and sprains.
Emus have few predators because they are large in size and are very fast. Some of these predators are the wild dogs and crocodiles. Emus have talons on one of their toes on each foot that they use against predators. Emu eggs also have predators like the goannas, eagles, hawks, dingoes, and wild cats.
