Between 500 and 600 pounds of lemons can be produced by a lemon tree in a year.


Since the Middle Ages it has been traditional to serve a lemon wedge with a fish since back then people believed that the acidic juice of the lemon would dissolve any bones that were accidently swallowed.

Lemons are easy to bruise so when they are being picked the pickers must be very careful and wear gloves when handling the fruit.
