About the Author
Hello and welcome to my webpage. My name is Samantha Stipan and I am currently a junior at University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. However this is only my first year here at La Crosse. I studied at two other universities before I came here: Ave Maria University and University of Wisconsin - Waukesha. I would have to say that I do like UWL the best so far. I am following my interests in microorganisms and pursuing a major in environmental microbiology with a minor in chemistry.
When I'm not busy with school, I enjoy traveling. So far I have been to England and Africa, and am currently planning my next big trip to South America. I love to go places and meet the locals and find out what their lives are like and learn about their way of life. The picture of me to the right is on the sand dunes of Swakopmund, Namibia. Another huge part of my life is my family. I have an amazing family that I spend as much time with as possible.
If you were wondering why this page was created, I made it as part of a larger project called Multiple Organisms. Each semester the students taking the class organismal biology, pick an organism and create a webpage about it. This has been going on since the spring of 2007, and has accumulated over 600 organisms! I encourage you to look though my classmates work and broaden your horizons to all the wonderful and unusual organisms contained in this website.
I would like to say thank you to the WINGS staff that helped me put this whole page together and to my Mom who helped me with this as well. Please email me at stipan.sama@uwlax.edu with any questions or comments, and make sure to check out my classmates work at MultipleOrganisms.net.
