My name is Alexa Ernst and I am from a small town called Tomahawk, Wisconsin.  I am currently an undergraduate student at UW-La Crosse studying Biology with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences and hope to pursue a career in the medical field.  Whatever I end up doing I want it to involve children because I adore them.  When I am not studying I enjoy reading, babysitting and shopping.

This webpage was an assignment for my Organismal Biology course and I was excited to be a part of Multipleorganims.net.  I chose to create my page on Aspergillus flavus because of the harmful aflatoxins that it produces.  I am a lover of peanut butter (preferably Jif) and was interested in how a food that I have never thought twice about consuming could be dangerous to my health.
