Author & Contact Information

The author, Dylan HendricksHello!  My name is Dylan Hendricks and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.  I am in the pre-chiropractic program with a major in  Biomedical Science, and plan on continuing my education after UW-La Crosse to get my doctorate degree.  Outside of school, I am the youngest of a family of three children and an uncle to two young nieces.  I am also a sports fan and an outdoors enthusiast with a particular passion for fishing.  My idea of a great time is camping somewhere isolated with a few close friends and family members.

This webpage was created as only part of a larger project in the Organismal Biology and, more recently, Animal Biology classes here at UW-LAX.  I chose to focus my research on the marbled cone snail for a few simple reasons.  Basically any animal interests me, and investigating a snail that poisons and devours other snails sounded genuinely compelling.

The overall ambition of this project was to inform others who are interested in this organism.  I hope you've learned something from this site and found what you came here for.  Feel free to contact me at hendrick.dyla@uwlax.edu for any questions, comments, or even criticisms.  Thanks for visiting!

Special thanks to Dr. Jason Biggs for providing pictures and video and to Jeanette and Scott Johnson for images.
