The creation of a website was assigned as a project for the course Organismal Biology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse by the Associate Professors for Biology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Gregory Sandland and Meredith Thomsen.  You can view other projects at MultipleOrganisms.net.  Gregory Sandland recieved his master’s degree at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta and his Ph.D. at Purdue University.  He specializes in parasitology.  Meredith Thomsen attended graduate school in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of California-Berkeley and earned her Ph.D. in 2005.  She specializes in plant ecology, invasive species, ecological restoration and habitat fragmentation.  Through the development of this website, we have learned to appreciate the diversity of life.

Meet the creators:

Hello! My name is Courtney Swanson and I am a freshman at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse studying Biology.  I am originally from Greenleaf, Wisconsin, which is about a half hour away from Green Bay, Wisconsin.  After I earn my bachelors degree, I plan to attend graduate school for some health related career of which I have not decided yet.  I researched and wrote the information for the classification page, the life history and reproduction page, and the interesting facts page.  If you have any more questions, you can email me at swanson.cour@uwlax.edu.

Hey there! My name is Joey Forman. I am a freshman at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. I’m currently a Biochemistry Major, and want to focus on pharmaceutical studies. I’m from the Madison area from a little town called Waterloo. I like to run competitively, sight-see, and hanging out with my Brothers at Delta Sigma Phi. I spend the most time working on the habitat, adaptations, and interaction pages on this website. I enjoy working with computers, whether it be coding, designing, or gaming. I hope that you got a ton of value from this website. You can email me at forman.jose@uwlax.edu.
