I think other people will find the African civet interesting because it is quite the unusual animal and most people are unaware of what it is or that it even exists. The African civet has other civet relatives, most of which are located in Europe and southeast Asia, which is a decent ways away from central Africa, where the African civet lives. Another interesting fact about the African civet is that it can  secrete as much as four grams of a very distinctive musk each week to mark its territory.
