In Nebraska, the metacercariae of the parasite Panopistus pricei has been found to occupy the kidney proper and ureters of Webbhelix multilineata and use the area as a microhabitat (Barger, 2011). It has also been found that the shrew and deer mice, that routinely feed upon Webbhelix multilineata, can also become infected by P. pricei by consuming the snail (Barger, 2011).

Surprisingly, a few other snails feed upon Webbhelix multilineata, namely Oxychilus draparnaud  (Sturm, 2006). Snails, in general, are relatively low on the food chain, as they are slow moving and are a nutritious source of food (Hotopp, 2006).
