Reproduction
Gastrocopta contracta is a hermaphrodite, which means they have both male and female reproductive parts. Normally mating happens between two individuals of the same species. After mating happens, eggs are laid in wet leaf beds or under logs (Say, 1822). There is not too much information specifically about this snail species, but typically land snail in the same family mate and can act as either male or female for sexual reproduction.
Gastropods tend to reproduce year round, but some can be seasonal. Most likely, this land snails life cycle is indirect, meaning it goes through several stages, some larval, before becoming an adult.
