Comb Snaggletooth snails eat organic material.  From the moment a snail is born it begins strengthening its shell.  The first thing a snail eats is its shell when it is born.  By eating the shell it gains valuable calcium.  From their it continues to eat organic material from the soil, logs and other vegetation to continue to strengthen its shell by absorbing the calcium.
