Reproduction

Comb snaggletooth snails reproduce similarly to other snails in their genus.  Generally the comb snaggletooth lays its eggs in the top soil in the forest or field, where ever they maybe.  Prior to the snail laying eggs they go through a mating ritual.  They then lay their eggs in moist soil and shade.  Comb snaggletooth snails are hermaphroditic, meaning they have both male and female sex organs.  Soon after they hatch from their eggs.  Snails are born with a shell that is very soft.  Even though adult snails lay several to hundreds of eggs at a time, only a fraction will survive to be mature adults.
