Classification

Domain: Eukarya: These organisms have cells with developed nucleus and contain DNA.

 Kingdom: Animalia (animals): These animals are multi-cellular with specialized tissues.

  Phylum: Mollusca (molluscs): These mollusks have Bilateral symmetry, they are triploblastic, and are acoelomates.

   Class: Gastropada :  The Gastropods have body torsion and a coiled shell.
    
     Subclass: Pulmonata(Fresh water and terrestrial snails): These snails acquire oxygen by the use of a "lung" instead of gills like the rest of the Gastropods

       Order: Stylommatophora (terrestrial snails and slugs): Have long pedal glands and retractile tentacles they also have a lung to breath air and no gills.

         Family: Zonitidae (glass snails): Shell is glassy and usually colorless or tints of brown. These snails tend to live in damp areas.  (Turgeon, 1998)

           Genus: Paravitrea: This genus is known for having long Hermaphroditic duct,  their peristome is simple and sharp, have rows or pairs of teeth. (Baker, 1931)

       Species: multidentata: This species has Radial lamellidens, the edges may have a series of bumps.  They have a smooth epidermis and  compact coiling of shell. (Brown, 1903)

In Latin, Paravitrea means: made of glass, (no Latin meaning for multidentata)
