My name is Eric Smits and I am a student at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I am a Biology major with an Environmental Science concentration and I made this website as part of my Animal Biology class. I am interested in pursuing a career in preservation and possibly doing independent research on the side. I'm lucky enough to go to a college that is surrounded by many different habitats to observe orgnaisms. Here we are right next to the Mississippi river, fantastic bluffs, a marsh, and Hixon Forest. Along with biology, I love running and am part of the track team here at UWL.
