 The Ramshorn Snail is found all over North America, such as
 along the Mississippi River, and they can be found in Canada
 as well. They can usually be found in freshwater areas such as
 ponds, lakes, rivers or swamps (Dillon, 2006). You also may
 have seen them before at a local pet shop as they are
 popular in fish tanks and aquariums. Ramshorn snails
 hibernate and can survive harsh cold winters. They have been
 seen thriving in colder areas such as Alaska!(Dillon,2006).
