Habitat
Helisoma anceps has been found all over the United Sates. The snails distribution in abundance includes southern states such as Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. It’s also found in eastern states such as North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia (Dillon 2006). The northern states where its abundant include North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Also the species is being discovered in several places across Canada. Scientist and Researches has introduced this snail in to parts of Europe. Scientists wanted to test the outcome of this species surviving in parts of Europe for research (Johnson 2005).
