Adaptation
The black female Papilio glaucus mimics the Pipevine Swallowtail. Pipevine Swallowtails eat a plant called Pipevine, which makes their taste non appetizing to predators. The female Papilio glaucus will only have the dark form if many Pipevine Swallowtails live in the same area. (Emmel, 1997)
