Lepisosteus osseus
The longnose gar has been around since the time of the dinosaurs and evolution has altered them very little. They are built to live in a variety of habitats and often times hostile environments. They have a long snout full of razor sharp teeth making them excellent hunters and their thick plated scales offer them protection against virtually and predators.
