Adaptations
The Yellow Perch has many adaptations to allow it survive in such diverse conditions. It can live anywhere from fertile water, eutrophic water (nutrient rich), and even turbid water (suspended solids).

Perch also have specialized teeth called palatines that they use to eat other small fish like young large mouth bass, minnows and even some insects. They can also filter out zooplankton with their gill rakers, which are small filters in the gills.
