My name is Leiah Emmerth and I am a student at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse in La Crosse, Wisconsin. I am currently a bio-med major with a minor in chemistry. I am a freshman at La Crosse and I am glad to have picked such a great school. I am originally from Elkhorn, Wisconsin, which is in the southeast corner of the state. I have always loved the outdoors and enjoyed science very much.
I created this web site as part of my grade for an organismal biology class at UWL. We had to choose from organisms in the La Crosse area, and when I chose the Maidenhair Fern I did not know much about it. After much research and time creating this web page, I now have a great appreciation for this fern.
