Where do they live?

The Eastern white pine can be found in a variety of sites:

It can be found in moderately dry soils among trees such as the basswood, hemlocks, sugar maples, and yellow birch.

It can be found in dry, highly acidic, infertile soils among trees such as the the red pine, jack pine, black oak, red oak, and paper birch.

It can be found in wet, swampy soils among trees such as the spruce, northern white-cedar, balsam fir, and red maple.
